The 6 your old me grabbed his bike to cycle to the library downtown because I couldn’t find myself musically in kiddie songs and top 40 music. At the same time I couldn’t believe there was. No music that I would like. At that moment I didn’t find what I was looking for but I definitely planted a seed to find what I was looking for. You could say my first steps of becoming a deejay was planted at that moment.
Six years later I discovered skateboarding. The eclectic soundtracks of the skate movies fascinated me and everything fell in place because I like to do sports and enjoy the beautiful things in life like music. Due to the skate movies and reading the covers of vinyl and cd’s I rapidly expanded my musical knowledge and completely found myself.
HipHop always caught me the most because I love the rawness of the beats and the stories about living in challenging suburbs and self development which fit me perfectly because I’m also raised in a creative suburb with social challenges so I can recognise myself a bit in the stories of Hiphop tracks.
This Passion for Hiphop and feeling the urge to share this with as many people I can is one of the reasons I decided to buy two turntables and a mixer in the mid ninetees. I’m inspired by the scratches of Dj Premier on who’s gonna take the weight and the many dope tour dj’s from Hiphop acts I witnessed showcasing their amazing talents.
What started out as an hobby with making mixtapes for friends and acquaintances evolved to me opening for a lot of national en internationally well known artists and my radioshows “BreakNorth” at OOG Radio and GLXY Radio and “Lowprofiles at Relate Radio. At Lowprofiles I really dig deep in my music files and mixevery genre I like in a way the listener can hear the cohesiveness in music in a surprising way.
Expect a deejay set at the Romney stage which reflects my style of interest. Sometimes I seek the raw edges of the adventures of suburban street life but I also love to play social conscious and energetic tunes to vibe to.. Seemlessly mixing all these adventures together creates a connecting vibe which relates to everyone.
