Holy Communion - Grant Crowe op New Wine Zomerconferentie 2023

To begin our day, this is an opportunity to receive the Lord’s Supper, in the style of the Anglican tradition. New Wine’s origin lies in the Anglican church.
In the Anglican church the Lord’s Supper is called Holy Communion. We are in communion with each other and close fellowship with the Lord, we encounter him. As we draw near, he draws near to us.
Why? To give you the opportunity to experience the Lord’s Supper in a different way than you might be used too.
How? Using the Anglican liturgy, held in English, but with Dutch liturgy available in hard copies / to download. We have a time of song worship, a time of acknowledging our sins, a time of listening to the word (in the form of lectio divina), a time of prayer followed by receiving bread and wine. We finish with an extended time of silence and a prayer of blessing.
Who? In the Anglican tradition, anyone can receive bread and wine, regardless of their church background. If you can receive in the church you normally attend, you can receive here. All are welcome!

About Grant:
Grant, is an Anglican minister serving here in the Netherlands. He is the pastor of All Saints Anglican Church. All Saints is an English speaking international church in Amersfoort. All Saints was planted in December 2015.
He is married to Jolanda, (who is from Friesland), and has two children, aged 16 and 13. Grant and his family have lived in Amersfoort, since November 2015.
He is originally from Northern Ireland. He became a Christian, as a university student in England, in 1993. At the same university, he experienced and enjoyed charismatic renewal. He later worked with Operation Mobilisation in Hungary, before training as a Church of England / Anglican minister in England in Durham.

He is thankful for the varied opportunities and life God has blessed him with. He feels blessed to be able to lead All Saints, a church which sharpens him as a Christian, stretches him in ministry, and he feels fortunate to lead such a lovely community of committed believers.

His hobbies – spending time with people, movies (one favourite film is Shawshank Redemption, and he is looking forward to the next Indiana Jones film!), books, biking, likes interesting museums and enjoys living in the Netherlands.
